This activity was originally planned as a day walk and introductory overnight camp, however there was nobody actually looking to try out camping this weekend. Accordingly, we are now planning a nice day walk into the same area, with hopefully time for a quick refreshing beverage at the Angler’s Rest Hotel at Brooklyn before heading home.

We will take the train to Hawkesbury River Station, departing time to be confirmed, however we are aiming for the 8.31 train from Gosford.

Start on Peak Hill track, 40 minutes uphill on fire trail. Peak hill is about 2.5hrs return to the fire trail.

We will probably detour to view Brooklyn Dam which is about 30-40 mins along the track and potentially stroll around the Brooklyn foreshore, weather & time permitting.  This is a nice easy hike in a very pretty National Park right on our doorstep. Grade SE 300
